PATIENT INFORMATION LEAFLET
CHANGES TO OUR MORNING APPOINTMENTS SYSTEM
Dear Patients
As from the beginning of July 2017, access for appointments will change.
Due to the high demand for GP appointments the old system of morning access is no longer safely manageable.
Our aim is to see any patient with a health problem within a timeframe that is appropriate for that problem.
We aim to offer our patients an appointment within 48 hours of a request, Monday to Friday. We have range of appointments that can be booked on the day and appointments that can be pre-booked. We also have a later evening clinic on Wednesday each week for workers.
How to make your appointment:
You can contact the surgery on 0151 652 1955 after 8am Monday to Friday to make an appointment.
Urgent Medical Problems.
If you need to see a doctor urgently our reception staff will ask you to give a brief general idea of the problem. This is so that our staff can direct you to the service that is most appropriate and timely.
We deal with a wide variety of problems, from sick notes and requests for letters to people being suddenly seriously ill. We need to be able to assess urgent requests to make sure your needs are met appropriately. Please help our receptionist as much as possible to achieve this. All information provided is entirely confidential and only shared with the duty doctor to help assess urgent requests.
Please do not miss an appointment you have booked. This is wasted time that could have been used for another patient. If you cannot attend, then please let us know so that we can offer the appointment to someone else.
