Training practice

We are an up to date, modern training practice with two approved GP Trainers; Dr Cheetham and Dr Clark.

We have a practice-wide learning and communicating ethos and this enables the entire practice team to maintain their knowledge and to develop a wide range of skills.

We facilitate training of fully qualified doctors who wish to specialise in general practice (GP Trainees) We call these doctors in training “Registrars”.

We provide training for fully qualified hospital doctors who need to gain experience in general practice before choosing their future career path (Foundation doctors from hospitals in Wirral and Liverpool).

We also provide experience for undergraduate medical students from the Liverpool University.

We are pleased to have established an excellent record for training future GPs and to have contributed to the success of Wirral as the top north west GP Training area according to  the 2017 GMC survey. We aim to provide a welcoming and high quality experience for our trainees.

Our reception team train NVQ apprentices up to Level 5.

Our nurses provide mentorship and work experience for some types of student.
